David graduated with honours from Monash University in 1995, after which he worked in various hospitals in Melbourne and Sydney.
In 1999, he undertook vocational training in General Practice, and was admitted as a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General practitioners in 2001. In addition to working in General Practice, David was involved with the direction of GP training as a board director with the Victorian Metropolitan Alliance, the provider of GP training in Melbourne. From 2002 to 2006 David travelled to China where he provided health care to the expatriate population of Beijing. During this period, he developed a special interest in sports medicine. He is currently a member of Sports Doctors Australia and medical officer with The North Melbourne Football Club. David's other interests include skin cancer diagnosis and screening. In 2008, he completed certificates in primary care skin cancer medicine and advanced dermoscopy from the University of Queensland. |
