Melanie graduated from La Trobe University in 2000 and completed a Masters in Sports Physiotherapy at The University of Melbourne in 2004. She is currently finishing a Clinical Doctorate in Physiotherapy at The University of Melbourne, completing her thesis on the assessment of trunk stability.

Melanie has worked in a number of private practices in Melbourne, all with an emphasis on Sports Medicine. She has also worked with post-operative patients in Private Hospitals and was previously the Physiotherapist at Box Hill Hawks Football Club in the VFL for five years. She has been working as a core contractor with the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour in International Womens Tennis for the past three years where she been a Physiotherapist working with elite Tennis players all over the world, including working at Wimbledon, The French and Australian Opens. She was also the Australian Fed Cup Team Physiotherapist for their International ties in 2007 and 2008. Melanie has a particular interest in trunk and pelvis stability, shoulder and knee injuries.
